Puri Karimun
Great step up from a homestay
What we say: 
One of the first places you spot when looking for accommodation along the road from the ferry port is Puri Karimun. Amazingly, it is also one of the few places that feels less like a homestay and more like a budget guesthouse. Accordingly, prices here are a little higher than some other places in town, but facilities such as a private bathroom are included in the price. It's a newer looking place with a snazzy paint job and good beds, clean rooms and a nice balcony to relax on if it gets too hot inside the room. This is a good choice if you want to step up slightly from a homestay.
