What we say:

A small brown door with a little sign is all that marks Mama's Homestay, but it is a great hidden backpacker option.Â Close to the Karaton and in a neighbourhood full of small batik boutiques, the homestay has loads of kampung charm.Â The rooms are clean and quite spacious for the price.Â Bathrooms are shared with squat toilets only, and there are three between the five bedrooms. Breakfast is included. The friendly owner, Badru Zaman, also leads bicycle tours of the city for Rp 70,000 per person.
