Losmen Setia Kawan
Dimly lit and grimy

What we say:
A larger, more modern-looking building than Budi Homestay across the road, Losmen Setia Kawan's looks are deceiving. Guests are greeted by rather grim-looking rooms with shared bathrooms. The bathrooms themselves are dimly lit and grimy and you will not want to take a hot shower in them lest you exit them dirtier than when you entered. However, the location of this losmen is good and it's an hour-long walk to where the jeeps park below viewpoint #2 of Gunung Penanjakan and an hour walk to Bromo summit. If you're on a tight budget, this is a good backup to Budi Homestay.
