What we say:

It's a bit rough around the edges, this place. The rooms are stuffy shoeboxes that do the job for a night, but will have you wanting to flee if another night is in the offing. Foam mattresses and grotty private cold water bathrooms are all you've got to look forward to here. Even some of the Western toilets are missing their seats such is the lack of care paid to the place. Come here if you're desperate, otherwise head to Bloem Steen next door or Memories down Jalan Jaksa. But if the other places are full, this will be okay for one night.
