Nothing flash, but cheap
Unique Guesthouse is the sort of place that can inspire nightmares if it's your first night in Indonesia.
The mosque blares through the thin windows at 04:30 with so much vigour that even the heaviest sleeper will awake with a fright. But, if you can cop the noise from the mosque, this place represents incredible value for money with the cheapest rooms difficult to beat in terms of price. Of course, in the cheapest rooms facilities are stripped right back and cold water bathrooms must be shared. But it's a clean enough place, the beds are of a reasonable quality, you won't be annoyed by staff (it's difficult to find anyone most of the time) and if you're in the mood for luxury, you can upgrade to a private bathroom. On the southern side of the train station, it's perfectly situated for travel to other parts of Bandung and Java -- we think this place is a good deal for those on a tight budget.
