What we say:

Located just to the south of the main Cibuaya Beach cluster on the way to Ujung Genteng is Pondok Karangnaya. Built in 2011, this basic bamboo shack has six rooms and a restaurant around the back which can serve up meals whenever you feel like it. Spring mattresses are simply plonked onto the floors with not a bed in sight as is the case in some other basic accommodation in town. The cold water bathrooms with squat toilet and bucket for washing have a little bit of natural light, but not enough to give you that clean, fresh feel. Just 20 metres from the sea, this place has a great aspect with absolutely cracking bamboo tables and chairs out the front overlooking the beach. This is a top budget spot at a top price. Be sure to negotiate.
