Ministry of Coffee is a well-known Yogyakarta hangout for students and visitors alike, with its large customer library and free WiFi connection being a major drawcard for the bookish set. Behind the cafe and shielded from the hustle and bustle of Jalan Prawirotaman, the Ministry also offers eight comfortable guest rooms centered around a small garden. The rooms are divided into deluxe, standard super and standard and have each been named after types of coffee beans. All rooms come with air-con, electronic safety deposit boxes, a private balcony or terrace, free parking and free WiFi access. The larger-sized deluxe and super standard rooms also have cable tv, and the deluxe room also boasts a luxurious bathtub. Each spotless room is tastefully decorated with a different colour theme. Even the standard rooms are a comfortable size, measuring around 15 square metres. The price includes breakfast in the cafe, where there are a number of Western and local options, not to mention some of the best espresso-style coffee in town.
