Airlangga Hotel
Large budget hotel with swimming pool and bar

What we say:
If never being too far from a Bintang beer is a requirement for your Indonesian travels, the Airlangga Hotel should serve you well. The hotel has its own relaxed bar upstairs, which hosts local acoustic and jazz musicians on some nights of the week. All of the wood-panelled rooms at Airlangga are double or twin with air-con. The rooms are basic, and some of those on the ground floor lack natural light, but on the upper levels there are more windows. The ensuite bathrooms all have a bathtub and shower with hot water, and while they may not have been redecorated in a long time, the facilities are clean and well-maintained. The hotel is popular with families because of its large outdoor swimming pool, however this means that if you are after peace and quiet it may be best to request a room further away from the action. The hotel's restaurant faces the pool and a Western-style breakfast is included.
