What we say: 
Setia Kawan Losmen is not shy with colour. Lush green plants adorn the cheerful yellow building and the walls of the rooms are painted with giant murals that are all the colours of the rainbow. A perennial favorite among visitors to Yogyakarta, it's best to book ahead if you want a room here, as even during off-peak seasons it's often booked out. The rooms are clean, with ensuite bathrooms and springy beds. There's a lounge downstairs with travel information, an internet cafe on the premises, and if you decide you want to get some color on yourself, there's also an onsite tattoo parlour. We don't endorse getting this kind of souvenir if you are under the influence of Bintang beer, however. It's easy to find Setia Kawan on Gang II, just look for the big blue sign near Bedhot Resto.
