A handful of places are hidden away in the northern interior of Gili Trawangan, and Australian-owned Trawangan Oasis is our pick of the bunch. Appealing to those who are really looking for a hideaway, Trawangan Oasis has a half-dozen wooden and concrete rooms overlooking a lawn garden (yes grass!) and a small freeform swimming pool. All rooms have decking, air-con and come with TV, DVD player and fresh water showers. Bicycles are also available for free. You're about a 300 metre walk from the north coast beach, so you're not totally in the middle of nowhere. We'd recommend this to people looking for a sleepy getaway, hidden from the hustle and bustle of the busier parts of Trawangan.
