What we say: 
The Phetdakham is a two-storey affair and is a little way out of the tourist and town centre and comprises eight basic rooms with a bed, fan and outdoor shared bathroom in a Lao family's house. The toilets and hot showers are separate, but not spectacularly clean. The family are friendly and speak basic English. Cheap and cheerful adequately describes this guest house.
