A good standby

The three storey Khamking Guesthouse is a good standby if the better Zuela and Thoulasith are both full and is certainly a step above what you'll pick up at the Manychan. The rooms are very clean and have a few sticks of furniture including TV and while air-con is available, given Luang Nam Tha's climate you'll probably not be needing it too much. Bathrooms are clean but small and pokey -- that they have mains hot water sounds promising -- if it delivers the goods. Like many of the western orientated guesthouses there is tourist literature available on the ground floor including maps, trekking info and some bus information. With a very central location and a lot of rooms this is a good spot to gun for if things look to be filling up fast.
