Opposite night market, main road, Luang Nam Tha T: (020) 511 1300 F: (086) 312 238
This three-storey joint is an okay stand-by if the better Zuela, Bouason or Thoulasith are full and you absolutely need a guesthouse atmosphere – otherwise Dokchampa Hotel is cheaper.
Khamking have raised their price and now it’s hard to see a reason why you’d choose to stay here over the others. The rooms are a passable level of cleanliness and have a few sticks of furniture including TV and while air-con is available, given Luang Nam Tha's climate you'll probably not need it. The bathrooms are small, pokey and have seen better days. They do have hot water. The location is as central as it gets but nothing is very far in town. Try elsewhere first unless you can negotiate the rate down.
