Singxay has basic rooms, and though they're comparatively not too bad, it's not a particularly welcoming place. Large numbers of people sitting around watch as you enter, but no one makes a move to welcome you. The relatively clean rooms have a mosquito net but no fan, and a grotty bathroom with a squat toilet and cold shower. Rooms are quite large and include a table and chair, but the walls need a paint and the air's musty.

Horrible night - 14th December, 2006
Singxay GH offered us two options of rooms: a new quite luxury room with attached bathroom for 50.000 Kip and hot shower in the main building and a bamboo hut with attached bathroom, squat toilet and cold shower in the courtyard for 25.000 Kip. We took the second option. The shower was not working, the hut beside us was rented hourly with all the noise this makes. On the side was a group of drug policemen quartered, heavily armed. It was difficult to find any staff in the morning. All together no joke, no storytelling.
