It's hard to say what we love more, the guesthouse's charming rural setting, its gracious hosts Khoun and Khone or the friendly cats and dogs.
If you are looking for a rural getaway while still having the option of going to town, this is the place. There are six wooden bungalows in the countryside with a backdrop of forested rolling mountains. All the bungalows include double beds, private balconies and attached Western bathrooms with hot showers. K&K will quickly make you feel at home on their farm. They speak great English and
can cook meals or arrange for village homestays. It’s a place to relax, walk around or if you’ve brought a motorbike or mountain bike from town, a great jumping off point for exploring Luang Prabang’s surrounding villages, rice fields and waterfalls.
You should arrange for airport pickup but if you are making your own way there, from the town centre head out on Phothisalat Avenue leading out of town, the same way you would go to Kuang Si. At the T-junction, instead of turning right to go to Kuang Si, continue straight past Santi Resort and continue on the dirt road for five minutes. The location is the maximum distance away from the town centre that we would consider a reasonable commute – anything further and we’d stress that the accommodation is a complete getaway from town. It is a 15-minute drive and if you want to head into town, the owners are happy to ferry guests for free. This is a quaint rustic spot and many guests end up staying longer than planned. It's a place for complete relaxation and not for those seeking something do.
