What we say:

Another former royal residence converted into a luxury hotel, Villa Santi has a great location that's still within walking distance of town. Rooms are attractive with hand-carved wooden furniture, silky local textiles, big bath tubs and, should the ambience put you in a creative mood, writing desks. Rooms lack TVs, although for some this may add to the charm. The facilities are excellent and this is one of few places with a pool, as well as tennis courts and fitness centre. Villa Santi is however overall looking a tad worn around the edges, and prices have actually fallen in recent years, making it an affordable splurge.
