This newcomer raises the bar for midrange accommodation in Luang Prabang. Housed in a pretty but inconspicuous building just up from the Nam Khan, La Maison combines traditional architecture with modern decor and comforts. A huge communal area surrounds the reception and features mod couches in bold colours and a TV for collective watching enjoyment. Rooms are also sprawling with an open, flowing floor plan and calming hues. Air-con and flat screen TVs are standard. Beds are comfortable and decked out in white duvets and ample bathrooms with enclosed showers round out the comforts. Breakfast is included and served alfresco and an adorable puppy may even lick and tickle your toes while you eat it.
