Description
Much like Luang Prabang itself, Lotus combines traditional Lao architecture with romantic French colonial design, creating a seamless blend of the two styles. It lives up to its boutique hotel with guesthouse ambience claim with its tastefully decorated rooms and homey feel delivered by eager-to-please staff. The creamy exterior is punctuated by contrasting dark wood -- a favoured combo of Luang Prabang accommodation -- and the bright reception is welcoming and airy. Downstairs rooms feature lovely French doors that open to a central garden courtyard and those upstairs have balconies with a view, though some face the outer street. Rooms are decorated with local artisan-made goods and include beautiful silks, terracotta tiling and intricate wood carvings. Breakfast and Wi Fi is included and a computer is available at reception for those travelling without laptops. Enquire about discounted prices.
