Like Luang Prabang itself, Lotus combines Lao architecture with romantic French style to provide an enchanting experience for guests. Rooms come in three types, each named after a flower, and are beautifully decorated with local artisan-made goods like silk textiles and hand-carved mirrors. "Frangipani" rooms feature lovely French doors that open to a central courtyard and upstairs "Lotus" rooms have balconies with a garden view. "Water lily" rooms, with a separate bath tub in the bedroom, are guaranteed to conjure up some romance. Eager-to-please staff, free WiFi, and a delicious breakfast are the icing on the cake.
