If a cheap riverside guesthouse is what you’re after, Kong Kham Guesthouse should fit the bill nicely with its dark rooms and free WiFi. The rooms come with beds covered in cheap sheets, hot water bathrooms with Western toilet, satellite TV and views of absolutely nothing. The rooms also come with air-con; you pay extra to get the remote. There are better value options nearby, but this place is still a good deal for Luang Prabang. Finding Kong Kham can be tricky due to its narrow frontage, but if you walk just downriver from Phakdee Bakery, you should be able to find it.
