Mekong Holiday Villa is a popular hotel located across from the Mekong River and just behind the National Museum. With a properly staffed reception, this place feels slightly more professional than the many family-run guesthouses in town and the presentation of the rooms is a testament to this increased attention to detail. Rooms come with wardrobes, rock hard beds with quality linen, air-con, in-room WiFi and bathrooms big enough that the toilet and shower are separate. The English-speaking staff here are lovely and quite helpful. In this price range Mekong Holiday Villa is a good choice.
