What we say:

Thony is a bit out of town down near the bike and foot bridge which crosses the Nam Khan. This will be a blessing for most, but if you have a problem with a 10-minute walk to get into town, this isn't for you. Located in a cluster of guesthouses, Thony provides good backpacker value with the air-con rooms being some of the cheapest in town. Cheap in this case doesn't mean nasty but it does mean bare. All you get in your room is a bed and TV, though one room we saw didn't even have a TV. The hot water bathrooms are clean and the family running the place is pleasant enough. This is a good cheap option if you don't mind the walk into town.
