Shady spot near the river
Far end of town
Meaning coconut garden, this spot at the far end of town would be tricky to find if not for the hand-made signs pointing the way.
Their small collection of rooms -- four wooden bungalows built in adjoining pairs and two new bungalows at either end -- make a fine choice if you don't mind the short 200-metre stroll to the restaurants. Bungalows are solidly built but sparsely furnished with just a double bed and mosquito netting. The porches are a more suitable place for relaxing and have wooden chairs and swinging hammocks. Each has a clean attached bathroom with Western-style toilet and cool shower, but when we stayed there, new hot water was being installed. This place is quieter than many other places in town due to its location, which is its greatest asset.
