Riverview Bungalows
New rooms with top views

What we say:
Not to be confused with Riverside Bungalows, this newcomer is further east from the boat landing with a bright yellow sign on the main path. In an adjoining strip, the six bungalows don't look like much as you approach them from the back, but the odd layout makes the most of the location and the doors and windows of the bungalows open up to unobstructed views of the Nam Ou river. Other than the particularly dreamy views, the bungalows are nothing out of the ordinary with a big bed, attached bathroom, and shared balconies with chairs and hammocks. A small restaurant here serves a limited menu of generic Lao and Western fare.

Very very tired......
Not to be confused with the "other" Riverside/view that has the restaurant, this one is located further down the main street away from the boat landing. This place features very tired, and very dirty bungalows that are in an amazing location for their hammock views. Paid 25,000 kip ($3.00) and would not have wanted to spend any more based on the condition of the units. For some reason the village was having their end of monsoon season festival while I was there, even though most other villages had theirs the previous week. It was great to watch the fireworks and the general fun unfortunate though the "fun" carried over to the entire night, with very loud music being played until 04:30 hrs. Not much fun for those of us who came to take in the peace and quiet from our bungalow's hammock!
