What we say:

Formerly known as Manypoon Guesthouse, this budget spot has undergone a cheerful makeover and the addition of an excellent restaurant. Small rooms are located in the traditional Lao-style wooden house behind the restaurant and are simple but tidy with reliable electricity, fan and double beds with mosquito nets. Shared bathrooms are kept quite clean and have squat toilets and warm showers. Its location a few steps away from the bus station make it an excellent choice for getting some rest before a long bus ride, and the restaurant sells yummy takeaway lunches. The staff are as friendly as the flowery signs suggest and can help with booking tours.

Manipoon

I just stayed one night...but it was clean, pleasant and well positioned..but so is anywhere in Nong Khiaw as its so tiny! But it really was only $3 in high season and represented excellent value. Described on here as being next to the bus station...that should out no-one off..the bus station has bays for 2 busses..which go 2 or 3 times a day and can easily be missed!
