What we say: 3 stars

In the centre of town, Sayty is cheap and basic. Rooms are clean, although the sheets are old, and there is neither fan nor mosquito net. Some rooms have a bathroom inside, with squat toilet and cold shower, others share a bathroom with the same facilities. The staff are friendly, and a seating area on the ground floor looking onto the bus station gives a view of all the local activity. This is a good option for those on a tight budget, but best avoid if you are travelling on more than $5 a day.
