Peaceful but hot
Muang Khua
Phongsali Province
Tel: (088) 210 821

Description
Ketsana is in a small alley that leads away from the bus station, and towards the Nam Phak River. It is right next to a long suspension bridge leading across the river. Balcony views of palm trees and the river are peaceful and quiet. Rooms are smallish and quite hot. With no electricity during the day this can be stifling with no fan. Rooms are generally clean, but could do with a mop. Choose between private or share bathroom, all with squat toilet and cold shower.

It has a large, pleasant balcony with river views which serves as a restaurant, and is a great place to sit and relax. Choose from a variety of rooms, all not so large and pretty clean, if basic, and... more

Keophila Guesthouse
Muang Khua
The entrance to this family home is brightly multicoloured. Rooms are upstairs and pretty clean - some with soft porn pictures on the walls - and come with a fan, drinking water, some odd furniture but no mosquito net. Only one room has a double bed, all the rest are twin. All rooms have bathrooms... more

Sayty Guesthouse
Muang Khua
Right next to the bus station, Sayty is cheap and basic. Rooms are clean, although the sheets are old, and there is neither fan nor mosquito net. Some rooms have a bathroom inside, with squat toilet and cold shower, others share a bathroom with the same facilities. The staff are friendly, and a... more

Sengali Guesthouse
Muang Khua
If you walk up the main street from the boat landing, this is the first guesthouse you'll find, although Nam Ou Guesthouse has a sign closer to the river. Some rooms are quite big, holding one big and one small bed. They are pretty clean, with basic amenities. One room has its own bathroom with... more
