Nangchanh Homsavang Guesthouse
Plain, clean rooms above a hardware store
Description
The guesthouse part of this small establishment is upstairs, while downstairs is part family home and part hardware store. Rooms are basic but clean, some with windows out the back looking out over Phongsali. One room has its own bathroom, with squat toilet and cold tap for a shower, while others share a similar set up. The shared bathroom is pretty filthy.

The Phongsali is a big, white, square concrete building. The lack of atmosphere starts from the outside and doesn't improve any once you're in the door. The rooms are basic but much cleaner than the corridors and external look would have you imagine. Not only are stairways and corridors dirty, they... more
