Description
A Chinese family-run place, the restaurant and family home occupy the ground floor, while the guesthouse is upstairs. Rooms are small and simple but have clean, with fresh white bedding. They come in different sizes, ranging from no-cat-swinging to plenty of space for furniture. Some have a private bathroom with squat toilet and cold shower, others have shared facilities. The restaurant downstairs serves good food, but is especially popular for its delicious coconut icecream.

The Phongsali is a big, white, square concrete building. The lack of atmosphere starts from the outside and doesn't improve any once you're in the door.
