Vivanh Guest House
Run down

What we say:
Located over the bridge from the grand Dansavan Hotel, Vivanh Guesthouse used to be a gem, but now it's now more of a pebble. In not so much as three years, this place has gone downhill fast mainly due to a lack of maintenance. The beds are now saggy and uncomfortable, the bathrooms have broken fixtures and the tiles from their second business continue to clutter the corridors. It simply makes for an unpleasant experience. The bathrooms do have hot water and Western toilets, there is a TV and some rooms come with air-con. However it's all just a bit tired now – how can it have deteriorated so quickly?

Great little gh, where to eat.
Although the hallway was full aofbstacks with floortiles( their second bussines) the fanroom w great at 60.000lak If you are looking for realy great food, walk around the corner, away from the bridge, first left to KANVA Restaurant, a family-run joint with the best food we had in a month Laos and huge portions. They also run a take-away service.

Clean and comfortable
I stayed here based on reviews and wasn't disappointed. Fan room-60,000kip, A/C-100,000kip. Owners can be found at the hardware next to the driveway. On the main street next to the bridge. About a 15 minute walk from the bus st. but I'd recommend taking a tuk tuk. Room was clean,TV,ensuite, storage for clothes. I had the front room but would recommend a room further back to lessen the noise from traffic. No internet.
