Description
Directly where the bus stops when arriving from Phonsavan, sits the unobtrusive Mexay. Rooms are basic, with those in the wooden upstairs section a much better deal than the cheaper, downstairs ones. The upstairs rooms are small and simple and could do with a sweep, and have mosquito nets and shared bathrooms. There are no sheets on the quilt, so bring out the sleeping sheet. The tiny downstairs rooms are even more basic. Hemmed in by concrete, they are windowless and bare with one small bed and mosquito net. Shared bathrooms on the ground floor are clean enough, with a squat toilet and cold shower. Electricity runs all night.

Total rooms: 8

They are not huge, and come with a fan, and bathroom with cold shower and squat toilet. Not a bad deal for the... more

Souk Sakhon Guesthouse
Muang Kham
Rooms are small and dark at Souk Sakhon. They are quite clean, with a mosquito net but no quilt covers. Some have no bathroom while others have a tiny private bathroom with squat toilet and bucket cold wash. Shared bathrooms out the back of the house are basic but pretty clean. Separated into two... more

Phai Nan Guesthouse
Muang Kham
This little guesthouse tucked off the main street behind the bus station, up near the market, has generously-sized rooms, with concrete floors and wooden walls which give off the refreshing scent of pine. Otherwise the rooms are basic, most with one large and one small bed, as well as mosquito... more
