Description
High on a hilltop overlooking Phonsavan, with rolling grassy hills and forests of pine trees as a back drop, Phuchan consists of several large wooden bungalows. Each bungalow divides into three separate suites with a bedroom and bathroom. Rooms are large, and decorated in simple but lovely log cabin style. They are furnished with beds, mosquito nets, matching furniture, and windows overlooking the pine trees. Bathrooms are very clean with a hot shower and western toilet. Each bungalow has a large balcony out the back, looking out over the rolling views, while front balconies face in to a pleasant garden. A quiet and private place to stay, and a little more upmarket than most of the other guesthouses in Phonsavan.

laid-back, great food -

had two great nights here, the place is a bit out of town, but in easy walking distance. cosy but spacious rooms, clean bathrooms. the friendly people prepare excellent food (with good picture menu). expect some minor language difficulities though - if you can manage with a few lao words and the global language of gestures, you should be fine. would stay here again, the place among pine trees is destined to sooth and relax you.
