What we say: 
This very friendly, family-run spot has a bunch of cheap rooms in a longhouse. Rooms are very basic, though they all have private bathrooms -- the cheapest ones have squat toilets and no hot water. The food here gets very good reports. You can eat in the restaurant by the road, or behind the accommodation on the riverbank. A recommended budget option.

Good Budget Choice
Vong Prasert had basic, clean rooms with attached bath for 30,000 kip and cold water or 40,000 kip and hot water. There is a nice patio restaurant with excellent views overlooking the river. They have bicycles and motorbikes for rent. Friendly staff and a good chance to practice your french with the helpful owner. Probably the best budget option on the river.

Good bargain
Basic room but clean and cheap-we paid $3 for a double. Nice simple restaurant to have a beer overlooking the river. Friendly owner. It fit our needs and would stay there again. Can easily walk to restaurants.

Very Friendly
We checked out a couple of places in Champasak but as they were all pretty bad (we were hoping for flashpacker not backpacker), we went with Vong Pasued. Picked us up from ferry (to try and get everyone to stay at his place but he doesn't care if you don't). Our room was clean but pretty basic - he's just organised a new food menu for the restaurant which sounds great. He is super friendly and very very helpful.
