Saythong Guest House
Convenient location

What we say:
This is a popular choice, in a good location, with a fine restaurant on site. Nevertheless, the room we saw was pretty shabby, albeit airy, with a sort of crappy bathroom. Some of the staff speak English well. Bicycles can be hired here and chartered boats to Pakse and Don Khong can also be arranged from here. The restaurant does only authentic Lao food to a high culinary standard. The restaurant overlooks the Mekong and is a great place for a sunrise coffee -- breakfast tends to come much later!

A good budget option for a night
A friend stayed here while we were staying in Anousxa. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent, we had the place to ourselves for lunch and had a feast. He was really happy with the central location, but said the room and shower were a bit shabby, as well as the place being noisier as its set right on the road.
