Sedone River Guesthouse
Great riverside location, very plain rooms

What we say:
This is probably the best budget place to stay in Pakse. It's sometimes hard to scare up the staff here, but once you do you'll be offered a very decent room for the price, and it's the only guesthouse in town that's right on the river. The common-area over-looking the water is a great place to hang out and watch the sunset, making it the 'Sadaidy 2' for those in the know. The rooms are nothing special -- a bit spare, with cold-water bathrooms only, but a good deal when you consider the location. The air-con rooms are inside the main house, and are quite spacious, with some decent furnishings. Recommended.

Very basic rooms, but great river location
The rooms at Sedone River Guesthouse was quite basic, but the location right by the river was great for a BeerLao in the sunset. We missed a mosquito net in the room and ability to flush the toilet. But other then that the room was fairly clean and the bed was ok for Lao standards. Generally a good choice to stay if you are not too picky.

I did come back again, and again
This was the spot to be in Pakse for me. Not far from all the 'action' but tucked up right on the Sedong River with a great deck to view the bridge from and throw back some beers, meet other guests and relax. The room in the main house (two beds) had a pretty terrible shower that sprayed water everywhere and the outer door didn't feel secure at all, so I wouldn't recommended it. However, the row of rooms off to the side were very nice. Sporting a chair out front if for some reason you want to avoid the people on the deck, a very good fan in the rooms we had, and comfortable beds - not to mention very spacious. For some reason my bathroom was overrun with mosquitoes and no net provided on the bed, so I had to go on an extermination rampage before I went to sleep and spray some repellent on the windows - but that's my only complaint.

I will come back again
I stayed for 3 nights. I chose the fan room. the room is old but good for budget value (around 200bht) , the private b'room is clean. The location is good, I can walk to Wat Luang in 5 mins. The Sedone river view is good for drinking Beer Lao and watch the river slowly flow. Recommend !!

Love it!
I've stayed here three times. It's not flash, and it's not deluxe, but it's a great place if you're not too fussy. Staff are delightfully friendly (when you can find them) and the beer garden overlooking the river is really nice. Good stalls and cafes within 2 minutes walk.

We liked it here
Yes, the rooms are basic, but clean. The location is excellent- quiet, nice garden/riverside area yet only two minutes walk to the main street. The staff friendly and, after a little prodding, even helpful! Would stay here again.

Very Basic
Too basic for my liking. The scorpion in the bathroom was an unwelcome guest.

GOOD PLACE
The room were basic but quiet and very cheap. The terrace is great for meeting fellow travellers! I would go back!

Terrific Location
The location of this guest house is great. A garden terrace right on the Sedone river makes it very enjoyable. Also, located in the center of Pakxe. Price was excellent, room was a little dingy, but acceptable.
