What we say:

This is really the only 'out of the way' option worth seeking out if you want to get away from the crowds. It's in a good location to patronise the food stalls along the water where the fish farms are, and there are a bunch of down-home, Korean-style barbecues and other restaurants that cater primarily to locals. A good place to go if you want to speak Lao, eat Lao food, and never want to accidentally run into someone you went to college with. The accommodation is arranged around a courtyard -— all with a clean private bathroom, wood floors and pink walls! Nothing great, but worth the price.
