Description
The Phou Phieng Nakai (Nakai Mountain Plateau) Guest House offers a complex of concrete buildings for the more expensive rooms, and a wooden building for the cheaper ones with shared bath and no fans -- not that you'd typical need one up here. The rooms are quite decent, and thick bedding is provided to get you through the cold winter nights -- all the bathrooms have squat toilets. There's a huge restaurant on premises, but on our visit, we found it empty and they weren't serving food.

The rooms here are wooden bungalows that look like they belong on Don Dhet in Si Phan Don. There are rooms with shared and private bathrooms -- all of which are squat style and cold water only. The staff are friendly and there are a couple of noodle shops in the area. It definitely has a better... more
