Cheaps rooms with no charm
What we say: 
Phoukhanna is a tired old place with some cheap rooms but little charm. Set along one of the roads leading to the river, this guesthouse has an on-site restaurant and karaoke joint. The rooms are basic and not very well maintained with loads of makeshift repairs to be found such as towels stuffed in vents to keep out the draft and missing toilet lids. The best rooms have air-con and the cheapest share bathrooms. It's a pretty crummy place, but if you're on a tight budget, the cheapest rooms might be okay.

worn down rooms and karaoke
in front of the guestrooms shown on the picture there is now a big karaoke-bar so be prepared to have noise from inside and from teens outside. we looked at 3 rooms, they all are pretty worn down, with not working hot water/ sink...the sheets weren´t fresh eigther. In the morning, at 7:30 nobody was there for breakfast or check-out. would not stay there again even though the place really would have had potential with its nice outside-area

ignorant staff and filthy room
when I got there about midday, nobody really cared to show up. Showing me two rooms, both had moist walls and smelled accordingly. The most revolting that the bedsheets were used, probably more than once. So, I didn't stay!
