What we say:

Located 6km from Konglor, you'd want something pretty special to get you staying there and unfortunately Saynamyang isn't it. The wood and bamboo bungalows here are complimented by newer wooden ones, but they're all very basic. The newer ones have balconies overlooking the river below and are quite appealing. Inside, the rooms are basic, the saggy beds come with mosquito nets and the bathrooms have hot water showers and bucket flush Western toilets. Saynamyang is not a bad place, but with the newer, better places opening closer to Konglor, there's simply very little reason to stay here anymore unless you want to avoid all tourist contact. If you can get a discount, this place might be worth a look.
