Phu Phieng Guesthouse

What we say: 2.5 stars

The only thing that this place has going for it is that it's cheap. Rooms are dark and bare with old beds and sheets, stained walls with rising damp and hot water bathrooms with squat toilets. Come here only if you're scraping together every last penny you have to fund your travels. There's a restaurant on site though it never seems to be open, and in general the entire place has an abandoned feel to it. If you're not watching every single kip, head instead to Somsanouk Guesthouse.
