What we say: 
Facing the river at the south end of town, Daosavanh is a large-scale, high-end luxury resort with all the fixings. You could say the style is "contemporary Lao", but the resort's large white buildings are more imposing than charming. Rooms come in four variations, the cheapest of which are large and spotless with shiny white tile floors and walls, comfortable beds, desks, traditional Lao art, minibars, WiFi and TVs that should probably be bigger for these prices. Bathrooms are modern, spacious and clean. The "suite luxury" room offers hardwood floors and private living room in case you win big at the casino and feel like living large. English-speaking staff are professional, buffet breakfast is included in all rates and the resort has a decent size pool, large restaurant, bar and banquet hall, spa and sauna, fitness centre and bicycles for rent.
