Centrally located, Dokboua is a concrete guesthouse with three levels of rooms. The cheapest fan rooms on the ground floor are a bit dark and gloomy, but the simply furnished rooms are clean and fine for a night's rest. More appealing are the rooms on the higher levels with full length windows that open on to the shared balcony. Bright and airy, they also have distant views of the mountains that make Vang Vieng so popular. All rooms have attached bathrooms with Western toilets and hot showers. Prices here may not be the cheapest in town, but you do get a more spacious and comfortable room. The on-site tour agency can arrange visas, tours and onward transport.
