Sisavang Guesthouse
Spectacular views and central location

What we say:
Set slightly back off the road, Sisavang is a four-storey monolith now equalled in height by other guesthouse-towers around town. The rooms are a decent size and have been well-maintained since complete renovations a few years back in 2004. With your choice of fan or air-con, rooms are similarly fitted with simple decorations, beds with proper spring mattresses, and en-suite bathrooms with hot water showers. Large, simply furnished balconies on every level face the mountain ranges and have a clear view over town that gets more spectacular the higher you go. Although it's a steep climb to the top rooms, it's worth it. Guests enjoy free coffee, tea, and fruit in the morning and staff offer laundry and ticketing services.

Nice little hotel, friendly staff, good location
Solid little hotel. Great staff with just enough English to be helpful. I paid $8 ($10 with A/C) for a good sized room with TV, hot water and 'in room WiFi'. Free coffee and water refils. Right next door to where the mini-van from Vientiane dropped us off. Highly recommend this place.

Great value and very friendly
This place was $8 for the best rooms when we stayed here. The rooms were very clean and had air conditioning and tv. Because it is set just back from the main strip it is in a handy location but is a tad quieter than some of the other guesthouses.

Lovely rooms great price
Only $4 for double with bathroom and fan. Lovely rooms too, right in the centre of town, you can walk from the bus station, and once settled you have all you need around you, tours, motorbike hire, restaurants, Ipod uploads if you're bored of your music and of course Friends reruns 24 hours...well not quite but close enough. Anyway lovely place with free coffee tea and bananas and water, even a line to hang out your washing. Definately worth a visit.
