Description
Run by the younger brother of 'Dok Khoun 1', this guesthouse is similar in style. Rooms are plain, but clean and decently sized. The large shared balconies with sparse furniture have lovely views over the town and mountains on the higher of the three storeys. Dok Khoun 2 offers services such as laundry, free tea and coffee, and a security guard at nights. Still close to the centre of town, it's slightly removed location near the old airport runway means that it's quite quiet. A small shop selling necessities operates in the grounds.

A good guesthouse in a great location. Close to the restaurants and bars, a short walk to the river front. Nice owners, good sized room with A/C and intermittent hot water. Very kitsch bedding - smiling dog sheets and justice league comforter! For $8 US a night, a good value and good spot in Vang Vieng.
