Perched right on the riverbank near the party island, Saysong Guesthouse has a collection of simple rooms similar to every other spot in town. Rooms have one to three beds, some basic sticks of furniture and attached bathrooms with hot shower. All rooms have air-con and a fan, but if you pay the lower fan price they'll disable the air-con. What sets Saysong apart from the competition is the great views of the mountains and river from the shared balconies and rooftop terrace. A brand new addition, wooden bungalows are set on the island in the river and have all the trimmings like air-con, TV, modern bathrooms and private balconies. The setting is lovely, but noise from the nearby bars ruins the serenity of the evenings.

not very nice!

We payed $6 for a room for 3 people with fan and hot water. We had to share the room with cockerooches and other animals. They do not serve drinks on the terrace and don't clean the terrace very often either. If you are a scruffy bakcpacker looking for a cheap place to stay and to get stoned it is ok. If you want a clean place, look somewhere else!
