Description
Pany is a two-storey block guesthouse set back off the main road, close to the old airport runway and bus station. On offer are a variety of rooms. Those in the front downstairs have air-con and have clearly been decorated by someone with a penchant for English football teams. Rooms are a little dark, with basic furnishings and a bathroom with hot shower attached. Rooms upstairs at the back are light and airy, with large windows, wooden floors, fan, and a bathroom with hot shower. The rooms upstairs at the front are more similar in style to the back rooms, but are bigger and sleep up to three people. The guesthouse does laundry and has a security guard at night.

Bungalows Riverside and Restaurant
On the riverbank, Vang Vieng
Just to the north of the main party island, Riverside offers a choice of budget bamboo huts, or full scale air-con wooden bungalows. It's not the most attractive stretch of the river, but the guesthouse's grounds are large and well tended, and the views across to the mountains are spectacular. The... more

Nana Guesthouse
Ban Viengkeo, Vang Vieng
Now occupying two locations 100m apart on the main street, but away from the bustle and noise of the pizza-and-movie restaurants, Nana is an attractive choice. Ban Sisavang, Vang Vieng
Behind what used to be the market and set right on the river, Phoubane has one of the best settings in Vang Vieng, with a balconied restaurant jutting out into the river, a full clear view of the mountains, and overlooking the precarious wooden toll bridge spanning the river. The restaurant is... more
