Moradok is set on an isolated site on the Nam Song about two km to the north of Vang Vieng, within a walled compound. The bungalows are aligned in two rows, one along the river and the other atop a slope 50m from the river. As a result, all the bungalows have extraordinary views of the rivers and mountains. The grounds have huge well watered lawns bordered by ornamental palms and flowers. Immature trees dot the lawn, and offer enough shade for a snooze beneath. The bungalows are large and simply furnished with up to three beds. TV and DVD players are provided. Large shady wood-deck balconies are the prime feature of the riverside bungalows. As it's a little out of town, and far from any of the revelry venues further upstream there is a tranquil ambience to Moradok. In early 2007 the restaurant was being improved. It's a half hour stroll from town so transport should be considered. A pleasant spot for families, though not the best value.
