What we say:

Formerly the Bountang Guesthouse, this three-level building on the main road through town has changed hands and is now a true hostel offering both dorms and private rooms plus lots of communal hang-out areas. Rooms are very basic containing little more than a bed (or beds) and a window, but this means they're easy to keep clean. Six-bed dorm rooms share bathrooms while private rooms have en-suite facilities with towels provided. Offering a pool table, movie room, board games, free WiFi and a restaurant/bar, guests don't have to leave the hostel for entertainment. While the hostel definitely has a social atmosphere, it's less wild than Spicylao Backpackers by the river.

PERFECT FUN

2 blocks from tubing!!! easy walk when you are hungover... new prices are even cheaper, I GOT A PRIVATE ROOM FOR 40,000Kips (about $4) OMG I felt bad paying so little. coffee is free, internet wifi is REAAALLLLLYYYY fast and the owner is western/lao so speaks perfect english and lao to help you with questions, tours, tickets, and ''whatever'' else you might need!! DeFiNaTeLy coming back !!!
