Set in an attractive wooden building with a terracotta-tiled roof, Khamkhon's location near the bus station makes it popular with repeat visitors. Its 21 rooms are styled with polished wooden furniture and flourishes of colour from local textiles, and all have air-con, cable TV, and clean bathrooms with hot showers. Don't worry about the traffic on busy Lane Xang Avenue keeping you awake as the rooms are well-insulated. You can enjoy your breakfast for only $2.50 at the on-site restaurant which doubles as a popular spot for swapping stories and drinking beer after dark.
