The Tai-Pan is a smart, business oriented hotel close to the river with a business centre, gym and swimming pool. As you would expect, the standards are high and the staff are friendly and courteous. All the rooms are well laid out, with air-con, cable TV, in-house movies, fridge and private bathrooms, though none have a proper view of the river. Breakfast is included in the price as well as airport transfer. The hotel actually offers membership to the public to its fitness centre and you can use the swimming pool and gym for $6 a day if you're not staying here.
