Damai Park Resort
Serene location, friendly staff

What we say:
This beautifully located motel just off the museum road is the only place to stay near the museum. Though it is only a motel, its setting amid plantations, jungle and a waterfall make it feel more like a resort. Most of the rooms are dormitory-style and can accommodate up to 30 people, but a few VIP rooms are on offer together with a couple of Malay-style wooden cottages. The pink rooms are only equipped with a simple bed and cupboard and while there's no air-con you don't really need it as nights in the jungle are cool. Attached bathrooms are well-kept and clean but can feel a little dark and damp thanks to the high humidity.
