One of the few remaining old-style cheapies in and around Tengkat Tong Shin, Bintang Guesthouse is particularly good value for solo travellers as it's possible to get a single room for not much more than a dorm bed at most of the other guesthouses in the area. Although the rooms are extremely basic, they are clean, as are the shared bathrooms. Guests enjoy a range of free extras such as cooking, washing and ironing facilities, internet access, drinking water and tea. Discounts are offered for longer stays.
